Jen needs prayers

    Crud.

Jen is having more surgery on Monday to remove part of the bone.  The doc doesn't like the way either bone is healing.  Just wonderful.

My sister will of course be there, but, she can't physically keep up with the kids.  So I have her to worry about as well.  She's done amazingly well refusing to give in to her MS, but the LAST bout of hositalizations wore her out, and she's STILL whipped.  Jen's husband is a decent man, but he's basically a self centered spoiled brat who EXPECTS the women to take care of the kids so he can do his own thing.  His mother is no help...all she does is break down in tears because she can't cope.

Here we go again, dang it.

I was just wondering how she was doing.  I'm sorry she's not healing better and needs more surgery.  I'll be praying for her.

I'm so sorry Glenda; I'll be praying for Jen and you as well.

Oh wow, Glenda.  I'm sorry to hear that.  I was hoping all this was over for her by now and she'd be well on the road to recovery.  Don't men like that just drive you nuts??  You feel like whomping them upside the head with a heavy object.

I do want to whomp them..but I also want to whomp their parents upside the head as they're generally the ones who have allowed this mindset to present itself and become the 'norm'.

I hope Jen has a fast recovery and that this surgery allows her to heal once and for all.

I was so hoping this was over for her, sending more prayers for Jen in hopes that this will be the last of it and she can get back to life again.

The surgery went well and they removed part of the bone in her big toe.  She woke up during surgery and asked if she was supposed to be awake and if it would hurt anything!  The doc told her since she wasn't in pain it was fine, so they talked about running and rowing!!  Leave it to Jen.

They changed her antibiotics because she had an allergic reaction to the last ones.  Still using the pic line, and now having to hang an IV bag for an hour 2x each day.

Her hubby isn't really a bad guy, but......He was raised in a family that should be pictured next to the word dysfunctional in old Websters.  This guy actually completed his masters in chemistry because thats what his dad had planned for him.  He hated it but waited until his dad died at a very young age to go back to school and get his teaching degree.  His mom used to get tired of his crying as a baby and shut him down in the basement alone.  He and his brother were allowed nothing, not even a drink, between meals and behavior was strictly regimented.  So, while I understand why he's who he is, it doesn't make me any happier that my niece is in love with him.  She's just too good to have half a marriage, but.....

So glad surgery went well, we will continue to send healing vibes Jens way!  It's really too bad about her Hubby's upbringing.  I have seen love change a person that had a difficult childhood and I have seen someone try very hard to change that with no success.. Maybe once Jen get back on her feet she can work on that, prayers to her for strength, courage and wisdom.

Glenda, I'm glad Jen's home again and I hope this is finally the road to recovery for her.
