Oh my gosh....how scary that was!  I'm so sorry that this happened and the trouble that you had to go thru to get him to safety.   Yikes!

My brother in law also had 90%/100% blockage and lived quite a few years after they told him, and that was without taking too good of care for himself. He smoked a lot...and drank quite a bit too and was told not to..but did anyway.    He was supposed to quit smoking and the go for surgery, but since he never quit smoking...he never had the surgery.  Your husband is doing so much better than Jerry...so I hope that encourages you!

Good luck to your husband and to you. Keep faith thru out.

Truley I am just seeing this, healing prayers coming to you from our part of the world.  My hubby has some bad eating habits that we are trying to change,  I know lifestyle changes are difficult so I will pray for patience for "You" cause you will need it :) Get some rest while you can, the next few weeks may be a little trying.

Sorry I missed this until now but I hope your husband continues to recover well. I know this must've been very frightening but the blessing is in it being found early.

Belated well wishes to your husband as he recovers -- and to you, as well.  Like someone else said, the caretaker needs to be cared for, too!  I've had a few friends and family members have heart attacks and/or surgeries, and the lifestyle changes are tough.  Some folks adapt to them very quickly and easily, others don't.  One of our friends had triple bypass surgery, yet he STILL refuses to give up all the bad things in his diet, and he does very little exercise.  As hard as it is to make those changes, some people don't even get the chance . . . their first heart emergency is their last.  Thankfully your husband had this early warning, and together you can work on getting him recovered and strong, ready to make the lifestyle changes that will keep him healthy for a very long time!  Take care, and healing vibes being sent your way!
