Boyfriend's Father in hospital *EDIT: GOOD NEWS*

Just got word that Ben's father was taken to the hospital from work this morning. He had very high blood pressure 200 over (I'm not sure the diastolic number), but 200 systolic is extremly high. They are currently running a cat scan to look for a blood clot and also running tests for a stroke or heart attack.

He was just diagnosed with Emphsema and quit smoking. He does drink heavily. He also has had a valve replacement years ago. It's killing me...I'm waiting for Ben's foreman to get my message so Ben can call me back.

I debated on whether or not to call him at work and tell him. But I'd rather he knows now and be able to see his dad just incase something terrible does happen.

Please, send his dad (Brian) whatever you've got. He is a good man and would give you the shirt off of his back. He is recently engaged and just finished his house. I would kindly appreciate good vibes, crossed paws & fingers and prayers if you've got them.

I will keep you updated as well.

    Thank you,

    Kristi

You absolutely did the right thing in calling your boyfriend. The good news is that his dad is at the hospital and they can figure this all out. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you all so much! From the bottom of my heart, really. He is home now, he had an anxiety attack; which my mother knows well enough that feels like a heart attack. But his blood pressure was extremly high 204/200. I explained that to the Dr I work for and he said "wow, I'm suprised he is still alive."

They have given him some anti anxiety medication and blood pressure medication. He was feeling well when he got home last night. I cried when I first found out, not so much because I was worried about him (of course I was), but more so worried about Ben and his sister and how losing their dad would affect them.

I'm so glad he is okay.

Thank you all again! I'm so happy to have a place with tons of shoulders to cry on! If I could come and hug you all I would!

What a huge relief for all of you. I'm so glad he's OK.  Anxiety attacks are truly terrifying, especially when you don't know that's what's happening.

Oh wow, I'm so glad that it was an anxiety attack.  Well glad isn't the right word.  Thanks for letting us know.  I'm glad it wasn't something more serious.
