Good thoughts and prayers needed (JackieG)

I found out today that a good friend had a growth removed from her bladder on Tuesday.  She will get the results today.  She is freaking out and so are all the people who love her, me included.  Her husband died of bone cancer five years ago and she remarried about a year ago.  She is the most full of life and laughter person you would ever meet.  Please send your good thoughts her way and prayers if you pray. Thank you.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.  The tumor they removed was for the most part benign, there were some suspicious cells that caused her Doctor to send a sample to MD Anderson in Houston for further review.  The type of tumor, according to the Doctor, is common in women of our age, mid to late 50's, and he felt that her outcome will be all good.  She is still worried but is praying that all will come back normal. She won't get the results till late this week probably and the waiting is the worst part, as we all know.  I am keeping a positive outlook and have found much comfort in your caring responses.  Thank you all so much.

    She'll be in my thoughts.

I hope the news continues to be positive for your friend.  Yes, waiting for test results is agony.  A friend of mine who had cancer many years ago told me how she worries now about what doctors will tell her after every test, even standard blood work or check-up things . . . the fear of another bad diagnosis is always there, and waiting just makes the mind go to the worst places, no matter how hard we tell ourselves to be positive!

Thinking of her, I hope she gets good news.  Having been through something of a similar scare with DH I know how stressful the waiting can be.

Jackie, I'm so sorry I just saw this today.  I'm hoping that the results are that the suspicious cells are nothing to be worried about.

I'm sorry to be so late in seeing this but I'll keep her in my prayers.
