    Prayers for Sallie

Please pray for Sallie. She has radial nerve damage to her left front leg, and we so much would ask God to heal the nerve damage so she can walk, run and play. she is only 1 year old and has so much life left. We love her so.

    Thank you

Prayers for Sallie coming your way!!!
If she isn't better in six weeks or so, you may want to consult with a veterinary neurologist.
As painful as it is to think about, if she can't recover the function of that leg, and you are asked to think about amputation, please do it rather than euthanize her.  Most dogs do very well - I used to play catch with a three-legged dog and he could play better than my four legged friends at home.  She could still live a happy life and play!

    Absolutely prayers heading your way.

We had a shepherd mix who lost a front leg to bone cancer.  For Duke is was too late, unfortunately, but the few months that he had left were good ones.  He didn't miss the leg...ran, played, climbed and jumped like it was still there, and the boy who had always hated the vet developed a strong attachment to the woman who had taken his leg!

Sending prayers and healing thoughts your way!!  I hope it doesn't happen, but if she needs to become a three-legged pal instead of a four legged one, I can tell you that there is a dog in my neighborhood who is a rescue who is missing his front left leg - he and his dad walk around the whole neighborhood in the morning and in the evening, we see them all the time, Buddy is having the time of his life, saying hi to everyone and every dog, he is so happy go-lucky that you would never no he was "disabled" - he definitely doesn't know it...

    Prayers for Sallie coming!

There are about 3 or 4 3-leggers at the park and the dog park I see on a fairly regular schedule and not one considers themselves a disabled dog nor do the owners.  They are full of life and very happy/friendly dogs.

I hope Sallie heals but if not she'll still be Sallie!

We are back from Canada. Still no discernable improvement to the front leg, altho the back leg is healing nicely![sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif]Her disposition is improving and she is much more alert. Thank you so very much for all your prayers. I will not stop praying.

    Thank you again

Dogs are astoundingly resillient -- they learn to cope with just about anything ... even if the 'worst' happens here and you have to have the leg removed, she WILL deal.  They don't waste as much time and energy as we do over getting depressed or frustrated with something they have no control over.  They could teach us LOTS about 'getting over it' and moving on.

Have you tried any sort of essential oil to help with the massage??  Several are a real help -- and I know Sallie knows she's got humans who LOVE her very much!!  It sure shows!
