Joyce update

I hope you will all keep Joyce and her family in your hearts and prayers. Mel's funeral is tomorrow, and it sounds like quite the send off. Mel was an administrative disability judge so it will be well attended, ( lots of .....shudder....politians and lawyers!) and she's even got a marioche (spelling) band for the occassion. I believe she said family will be in town until towards the end of the week, but then she'll be back.

Sending warm thots and prayers to her entire family.

Based on the obituary they ran here, Mel was involved in a great many community activities his entire life, so I'm betting there'll be a huge turnout. I told her his picture showed a man with a great smile and much kindness in his eyes. I could just tell he was a special guy with a huge heart. For anyone who's been to a Catholic mass, you know they can be quite somber, so having a mariachi mass should make it more of a celebration of his life, as it should be.

Thank you for the update Glenda. I've been thinking of Joyce. It sounds like Mel was a very special and accomplished person. What a wonderful celebration they must be planning. It sounds like quite a tribute to his life.

Also wanted to say thanks for the update. And I agree... Mel sounds like he has a huge heart... no doubt the whole family does too. Still praying for Joyce and her family.
