    Send good thoughts

Hey guys, this section is wonderful! This is the first forum I've been on that has a section like this!

Anyway, I would like everyone to send good thoughts for my husband. Last September 7, he had horrible accident! While driving a 50-ton crane to a jobsite, the crane's engine shut off and David lost control. The crane hit a hillside while drifting down a 12% grade at 60 mph. The impact caused the crane to turn over with my hubby still inside. He had 18 inches of lacerations to his head, one from front to back, and so deep it left a groove in his skull. David spent over 3 hours in surgery getting his lacerations cleaned and closed. After the surgery, his doctor talked to me and said that David will have severe headaches for the rest of his life.

Well, after healing up, David is having VERY bad headaches, and he's still experiecing chest pains from the accident. It is almost impossible for him to sleep a whole night through. David is still in some pain even after 3 months. Please keep him in your thoughts. I feel so helpless...I wish I could help him.

I wish we could all help him! I'm so sorry! This section is a very nice reminder to me that my problems are not that overwhelming and that I never know, really, what each person is going through, so before I judge . . . I better really understand.

You're in the middle of a long journery.
    We're here for you!

I'll keep your hubby in my prayers also. What is his first name and I will turn his name into our church for all the members to pray over him?

Keep the faith, be strong and never give up. We are here for you.

When someone suffers a debilitating injury with on-going pain and problems, people often see how the injured person is so severely affected.  However, other family members are also affected by the lingering or permanent results of the accident or injury.  My sister-in-law is facing similar issues as you are because of a serious injury her husband had a few weeks ago.  It's been very hard for both of them.

Sending you both good vibes and best wishes that 2007 brings improved health for your husband and peace of mind for both of you.  Take care.

Sorry to hear about your husband's frightening accident and the debilitating after effects, Rosa.  My family was in the highway construction business and my father and uncles have all had some close calls and one did roll a front end loader and it's had a clear impact on his health.

Wishing you both strength and healing in this coming year!

Oh my God, how horrible.  We will be praying for him and hoping for him to be able to find some sort of pain relief.  Or, at least enough to dull it so that it's bearable for him.  And, we will pray that you will be able to get thru this too.

My DH has had some bad back pain over the past few months and it's such a horrible feeling knowing I can't just get him a Advil or something and it will go away.  You really don't know what to do for the person.
