Thoughts for my best friend's dog

I hope that when Lance gets to the Bridge he is met, not only by my dogs, but by the whole Rainbow Bridge Welcoming Committee.  And I hope that another very special GSD, Thor, makes him a best friend.

I think requests like that are taken VERY seriously up there.

  I would really appreciate a good idog sendoff for this guy, as he has "brought up" a lot of dogs, greeted a lot of kids, and given his love to someone I cherish as a friend for his entire doggy life.

I *know* requests like that are taken VERY seriously **HERE**.  Good thots and prayers both to prepare for his passage and that it is all just as it should be, as the love makes his passage easy.

Lance and his mom have all our best wishes for whatever lies ahead for them.

He sounds like the kind of dog who will leave a big hole in his owner's heart.  I hope the wonderful memories she has will help fill that hole as time passes.  May he have a peaceful crossing when his time comes..  Good thoughts and vibes to your friend.

Everybody has already voiced the exact sentiments I wish.  I'll be thinking of Lance and his people today and this week.  I pray for a peaceful transition for Lance...and strength to cope for his people.  It is so hard to watch our sweeties get old...so hard.  The onlything we can do is keep them happy, safe and comfortable.

So kind of you to do that at this time, which must be so hard for you, too.  Talk about a big hole left in a heart...  I think that all the idog dogs feel our vibes every time we make a prayer request to them at the Bridge.  It's another way of honoring our connections to them.

Anne, while my heart is heavy, thankfully it hasn't turned to stone.  And, somehow thinking about others helps ease the pain just a bit.  The best thing I can do to celebrate Thors life is to honor his incredible goodness and loving by trying to be just a little bit like him in spirit.
