My Aunt is in need (final update, page 3)

    Thanks again everyone.

My aunt passed last night around ten.  My other aunt and her husband had just left the hospice about five minutes before when they got the call.

I am happy she is finally at peace.  She was in so much pain over these last five months and it is good that it is over.  I just can't believe she is gone.  Just last year she was my mom's caretaker after my mom went into cardiac arrest, nearly died, and needed a triple bypass.  Now my aunt, who was so strong last year, is gone.  We are such a close family and this just hurts so much.  I actually called off work, which I NEVER do, because I just don't think I can handle much of anything today.

We will be having a memorial for her in a couple of weeks at the church where they all (my aunts and my mom) attended grade school.  She wanted to be cremated and not laid out so it will just be a memorial followed by a reception.  Eventually she will be buried with her parents and they will add a plaque to the tombstone.

I'm so sorry Georgie. I know the relief when you know they're no longer suffering but it's still sad to know they're gone. (((HUGS)))

*hugs* Even though it is incredibly sad, at least she is no longer suffering.
