My neighbor needs lots of prayers (shadowsgin) *Update* 04/20/10

Well my wonderful friends, here I am asking for more prayers.   I know the support and prayers from this group works wonders so here is the story on my neighbor.

Carol Tyree is a very sweet loving neighbor.  She is one of those kind of people that never has a bad thing to say about anyone.   She is one of those people that will jump through hoops to help a friend or loved one.

When I got home from Tulsa late monday night I didnt call anyone, Tuesday I called a neighbor that keeps an eye out when we are gone and they told me Carol had been rushed to the hospital Friday, for an emergency and the found a bleeding blood clot in her brain.  She had to undergo emergency surgery and has been in a medically induced coma since.   The latest I have been able to find out is that they took her off the sedative and are trying to get her to wake up.   It is very slow, she is showing some signs of movement on her left side, some eyelid fluttering, and appears to have some response to her children when they are speaking to her.   She has not yet regained conciousness as of last night.

Please say a prayer for her and her family, I know they will feel the healing strength from our community.

Just wanted to update on my neighbor.  Last update I got was Friday 04-02-10,  Carol is responding to voices by opening her eyes and looking to the direction of the voice.  Her left arm, fingers, leg and right arm are responsive to command.  As of friday she was still on a breathing tube and should continue to be for a couple more weeks.   She will also stay in ICU for a couple more weeks.  Her daughter is staying with her most all the time and her son has returned to his high school, agreeing that he needed to get back into his routine and not miss any more class time.

Thanks to you all for keeping Carol in your prayers, praying for more improved recovery today.

Just got some of the greatest news today!  They had her stand twice yesterday!  Her right arm is working well, and they are very positive about her right leg as well.   She still has a trach but think that they can put in a smaller one and cap it....basically it means that if they do that she will be able to speak.   Still a long road ahead but this is some awesome news!!!!!  Please keep her on your prayer list, it is working!  Carol's daughter Amber has been keeping us all updated, I know she is praising the prayers being sent their way.
