If she doesn't get better and gets back into transfusion territory I have decided not to do that to her. I am going to let her go. I have tortured this little girl enough. She went out this morning to pee and a squirrel was a foot away. normally she would have gone nuts and chased it. today she didn't care. she has no quality of life anymore. I really hope the cyclo won't take two weeks to work because she doesn't have two weeks. Sorry to make a lousy start to the weekend. Please say a prayer for her. She has fought so hard.
On Tuesday of this week we were at almost the same spot in Indie's treatment, poor quality of life, drained on almost every front, and basically out of hope. Every situation is unique but what a difference 4 days can make... In almost defiance of medical logic, Indie came home this morning and he looks better than he has in a long long time.
His doctor's aren't sure how/why he recovered, they really don't think the Antibiotics are the reason (nothing has grown in the cultures), the Pred reduction we definitely think was part of the equation, but also possibly a neck bleed cause by the heparin injections causing spinal issues which spread generalize pain, but they freely admit its a big mystery.
You know and love Sunny better than anyone else, whatever decisions you make are the best possible ones for her and never lose sight of that no matter what. Both you and her will be in our thoughts.
