 Was thinking about Riley today - how's she doing?

Thanks for thinking of her.  Well, she wasn't having a good weekend.  With all the rain her knee was really acting up.  Once she gets it moving it's fine, but it gets really stiff first thing in the am and after she's been sitting for awhile.  Today the weather was much better so it was better.  We go back on the 26th to have the doc check her progress. 

I feel so bad giving her all that medicine all the time.  She has to be sick of it.  Right now we are alternating between putting it in her yogurt for breakfast, injecting it into a muffin for lunch, and on her ice cream for dinner time.  I wish she would just drink it and get it over with. 

Lisa, we will be hoping Riley's check up goes great and some of the medicine can be reduced. 

Just wanted you to know  Riley is still in my thoughts.  Prayers for good news on the 26th.

 Oh Lisa I am so sorry to hear she is still having such difficulties - prayers are still with you - each and every night!

Thanks everyone.  Today we hit a bit of luck...I found chewable motrin!!!!!  You would think it would be easy to find, but no.  Chewable Tylonel is, but not Motrin.  There was one Walgreens in the Detroit area that had it...one box.  She ate it like it was candy.  They taste like sweet tarts and disolve fast.  I was jumping around for joy!!!  If we could alternate it between the liquid version I think that will work.  When she takes the meds consistently you can definitely notice the difference.  If we could just get the swelling down consistently then I think we will be able to make significant strides.

If anyone spots any (store brands are ok - the one I bought was Walgreens brand for $5).  The grape kind, let me know.  I could PayPal you the $$ and for shipping.  My mom is on the look out in CA.  So far only Walgreens carries it that I could find (I checked CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, Target, and Kmart).  I could always order it online, but that makes me a little nervous since you really don't know where you are ordering from.  If it was just for me that's one thing...but for her, well you know.

I could swear I remember seeing this here in Canada before but I'm not overly sure.  I'll keep the eyes open for ya.

Oh, shoot.  I meant to ask at work (we have a pharmacy that supplies lots of stuff pretty inexpensively).  I'll try to remember to ask Monday.
