Please Send Good Thoughts For Daisy (Update On Daisy)

Daisy did great today well saturday no turning at all, think maybe I jumped the gun on taking her straight into the vet well its what family members are saying, but I don't want to chance anything, I told them maybe I just caught it on time before it got worse. I'm glad she isn't turning because its scary to see feel helpless. Hopefully she continues to stay better.

Sad I so wish our vet wasn't moving away he's a great guy Arizona is getting a wonderful vet. (not bad on the eyes either lol)

Sorry to hear you have to lose such a great vet.

Has the doctor that is leaving recommended to you any other vets?

Taking them to the vet too much doesn't exist, LOL. I'd much rather go, and nothing be wrong than stay home and have it get worse.

I'm glad she's doing better; good luck on finding a new vet.

Thanks everyone she's good so far but at times she'll come out of the room and just stand there for awhile worried about her.

At my vets office there are 2 or 3 other vets there maybe its 3 my vet included. He did mention one of the other vets name that works there and said he was great but then of course was like well their all good but so and so is great.

So think I'll see how it goes with who he said if I don't like him I'll probably change.

Me too.  I've made a few bad calls and gone for nothing.  But, I'd rather be safe than sorry.  I don't even consider what my family has to say about it.  If I feel like they need to go, they go.  And, if I'm wrong in taking them, then so be it.  But, this way it's my decision and my mistake.  DH doesn't even get involved in it.

Vestibular syndrome can have some after effects, but if the dog is eating and enjoying life, a little circling or hesitation isn't the worst thing in the world.  Not much the vet would be able to do for just the VS, but if there's another issue, such my Dancer had - kidney disease, that is causing a momentary seizure activity or something, then they can help by giving dietary and hydration suggestions.  So, I, as others have stated, always opt to take a dog to the vet, rather than wait.

Yea they said see you could of waited when I told them the circling stopped.  I mean you get woken up at 8 something in the morning I slept in by something wrong with Daisy right away I'm crying I jump out of bed see whats wrong and it was in the bathroom getting washed and ready thats it I already knew I wasn't gonna wait.

The vet said its hard to even tell with Daisy with VS since she doesn't have any eyes he couldn't check that but he said he was 100% sure its what was going on and he said basically you just gotta ride it out. He said his moms dog who he grew up with got VS and she would call him non stop and he said he told her just ride it out mom lol gonna miss my vets stories lol

Daisy is doing great thank god. Now if she would only let me pick her up so I can give her a bath, I usually give the dogs a bath outside but it's been cold in florida and she hates to be picked up but its funny at the vets she lets them pick her up with no problems.
