Good chew toy for aggressive chewer?

I bought Misha an Orbee ball, though I hadn't intended for it to stay outside, it did. He loses it on occasion, but it's still intact - as far as I know.  And this from the dog who literally eats everything - the hose, the cats' bowls, the house, possums... everything. They sell balls in various sizes, and they're hollow. They have some different designs, I just make sure I get the ones rated "5 chompers."

    Here is their site.

I wish there were inside walking 'gyms' for dogs - will live in Illinois & winter is fast approaching & I'm afraid it's going to get too cold to go out for our walks. We play with him quite a bit, we're both retired & home all day, but winter poses more of a challenge now! How about some suggestions?

You could always have a 100% supervised walk on a treadmill, thats an option

Both my dogs are hard on toys. Hektor is a beast with toys. The only ones that can survive a unsupervised round with them are kongs and plain old beef bones.

I have collected about 10 nice marrow bone pieces about 5 inches long with the holes all the way through, and I stuff these along with their kongs. I use combinations of Natural Balance rolls combined with stuff like pumpkin or yogurt and freeze them. When they are done I wash the bones in the dishwasher and stuff them again.

They seem to enjoy the bones very much.

Nyla bones also last a long time but both my dogs do not seem to be very interested in chewing them.

Some more good ideas, wow this is very helpful, I'm glad I posted my question! When the last person put Nylabone, I thought been there & tried that, he doesn't like them - but when I looked at the actual Puzzlebone I saw that it was different & maybe he'd like that. I wrote that one down for future idea!...

Caleb had been ignoring his souper Nylabone for awhile.  Since he got the Puzzlebone he's been paying a bit more attention to it again, but definitely not as much as the Puzzlebone.

...We see having a dog as a real commitment like most of you do & want to be as good to him as we can. We've had two other dogs over the 39 years we've been married, our first one we even named 'kidd' because she was our first kid :) & she lived to about 16. Our last dog was a mixed breed, and such a wonderful dog we didn't know if we'd ever be able to start over after almost 17 years with Muffy aka 'the babe'. But here we are with our Buddy, it's a challenge sometimes because unlike the other dogs there's no longer kids home, but we love him & he's here to stay!

Oh, you sound like us.  Caleb is the third dog we've had in the 26 years we've been married (not counting the two dogs we fostered, one we babysat on & off for all his life and my black Lab that stayed at my parents' farm after we got married).  Heineken, our Siberian/GSD mix, was 7 when my husband brought him home to me right after we got engaged.  He was 17 when he died in his sleep.  Then came dear, sweet Mick.  He was born the day Heineken died (didn't know that until we got home with him and counted backwards on the calendar).  We had to have him pts in July 2006 at 15 1/2.  Caleb was born nine days later.

He has a coat & I tried a pair of boots about a week ago & returned them, I could tell they wouldn't work for him. I think he'd have them chewed up in a minute if I turned my back, he definetly didn't like something on his feet. But thanks for the input!

Hey, i advise yo to use a bicycle tire for your dog. My Rottie loved to drag it around the yard. There is an indestructible safe dog chew toy called Brevo the Bull. It is soft enough to satisfy dog's chewing desire, yet strong and durable enough to stand up to hard chewer. What is more, a rubber bone is always a good choice.
