 There seems to be a bounty on the head of Cesar Millan. Silly me, I forget who issued it, and what's in the purse for the victor. A little help?

Good question, they better get something good because even if CM is not around i think the "damage" is done already   I havent seen those people who want his head spreading the word about having their dogs doing more exercise, have you realize that? i dont even think they take exercising your dog as priority, they can tell you 100 different other things to do first before telling you to walk your dog

The walk is great but it will be with the behavior I find desirable. CM is the same, though we use different methods. I think that gets lost in the exercise, discipline, affection order. Even the exercise must be in the proper frame of mind. Otherwise, the dog continues to misbehave. How many times has he dealt with someone's dog who was going nuts on the walk? All that walking did nothing for the behavior, other than to make a tired, problem dog. The wrong behavior was still getting reinforced, in spite of or regardless of the walk. Hence, the call to the "dog whisperer".

That's why I will work on bits of training before, during, and after the walk. Which seems to violate his order.

Point taken. That does NOT mean you should stop walking your dog, should we say nobody else tells you to walk your dog in a structured way more than CM? even when exercise is required some trainers still dont talk to the owners about walking their dog in any way (structured or not)

I think money and notoriety is secondary to trying to silence CM and his views.  I know exactly how it must feel to have your views silenced as well as other here do to.  But to me if he is embracing and considering other methods and getting in sync with JQP like myself, then he will be a true leader over the bunch...which is so sorely needed.

Will that make him even more threatening to people? Will they then bash him even harder? For example, if his show offers rewards training protocols as well as his standard exercise, discipline and affection philosophy, then there's not really much room for a competing "R+" show, right? And, if he takes the wind out of his critics' sails, will they jump on him even harder, rather than applaud his growth?

I am completely in the dark about what brought this topic about.  Is there a serious bounty on CM's head?  If so, some details would be in order so that others do not feel that other topics are being mocked by this one.

I think now he is treated as an equal.  He has excellent dog philosphy (rigid but with some modification fits into my home)  but is misunderstood because his training protocols are geared toward the extreme dog cases....none of which other dog professionals would touch.  If he shoots above the crowd, it will be harder for people to get at him.  He will be much richer so he can hire the others as his employees. 

The more CM gets disected in public, the more famous he will be.....when one isn't spoken about anymore, one has lost that household name.....

I agree and that is what I was advocating in the PTS-for or against thread.  The good side view.
