spiritdogs
The only saving grace here is that this dog is now with the owner he loved at the Bridge.
Your so right Anne and thanks for reminding me of it!
Because to read more about it in todays paper, it just makes me ill. The dog was JUST put down in April. This autopsy report came out begining of May. Why keep it THAT long ( this happened in Feb ) only to put the dog down anyway with a final report?
It did say in the paper that the decision to put Zeus down was based on testimony from police officers and a neighbor, the dogs behavior report from the kennel, and an oral report from a pathologist listing "severe dog bites" as contributing to her death. The police said the dog was deemed vicious based on the severity of her wounds and because the dog regurgitated part of the womans bra about a week after it was impounded.
Now...don't ask why the pathologist decided the dog bites were that severe, and the country coroner said that it looks like she went down to natural causes then the dog was kind of tugging on her and some bleeding occured that by itself may not have been fatel." The actual doctor that completed the autopsy was " not available for comment.." Go figure! Seriously...I wish they would contact the pathologist.
