LOL.  Guess I'll just count myself among the abnormal then.  When I see a very clearly blown call I call that ump everything but a white man.  The air can literally turn blue around me.  And yes, this is just watching it on TV.....you should hear me when I'm actually at the ball park.  Or maybe not......

You have obviously never watched a Detroit Lion's game   I will say that DH has gotten a lot better but even I get caught up in it sometimes.

For Shadow, I think it's about tone and whatever pheromone. If I am angry or frustrated, I must put off a certain smell or something. Because I can be singing and it doesn't phase him. But I can curse someone in traffic and he will cower.

So, I have to agree with Spiritdogs. Help the dog re-acclimate to the noise by making calm behavior rewarding. And yes, the dog will learn how to find ESPN. And the next time someone hollers at the dog, he'll think a reward is coming. Just kidding, but wouldn't that be funny?
