hates phones?

for some strange reason, Zoey goes nuts when the phone rings lately...

she hasn't always been like this, just in the last week or so. when the phone rings, even if she's snoozing on the couch, or just sitting in the window watching the world, whatever she's doing she hops on the floor and starts searching for something! furiously sniffing around, and trotting around quickly with her nose to the ground, just looking for something! i tried to think about something that might have happened when the phonen rang previously that would cause her to associate the noise with something else, but i can't think of anything!

does anybody have any idea how to stop this? it seems to be stressing her out, maybe kuz she can't find "it".... sometimes she just kinda searches like that, even if the phone doesn't ring.

How much exercise does Zoey get?

If you can rent season 1 of the Dog Whisperer, the third show is about a dog who freaks out at the toaster and the telephone. It's called Ruby and Rana.

hmmm, maybe she just associates it with you rushing to the phone? my dogs always get excited and hyper when my cell rings. in fact they still perk their ears when they hear the song that used to be my ringtone 1.5 years ago! dogs are just odd sometimes...

of course! that makes so much sense actually... maybe that's it. good news is that we were looking at getting a new home phone! very convenient! haha

as for your question 2iscompany.... not enough. i know that tho. she IS a JRT, but she has actually been REALLY good so far. we never had problems with her chewing things in the house, or purposely trying to get into trouble while we're gone... i DO need to take her out more, and let her run. this was her first winter, and with the really "fun" and "pretty" Canadian winters we get here, playing outside is not always an option lol. we try to always play around inside everyday tho... and god knows she keeps herself entertained with her million toys and the cats.

i wanna take her to an off-leash park, but her recall is still very weak. look for a post asking for help in that dept shortly :S
