    housetraining and rainy days

Well it's been raining here pretty heavily for most of the day, and well Anubis doesn't want to get wet but I know he's got to go. I tried taking him out when it'd let up just a little bit. Anyone have any advice on how I should handle future rainy days?

My puppy doesn't like to go out in the rain either. My puppy has a potty spot, what I do is carry her into the rain set her in her spot and tell her to go potty, and when she walks back the door I pick her up carry her back to the spot and tell her to go potty. She quickly figures out the only way to get out of the rain is to go potty. And if you know he has to go don't bring him inside till goes or he'll go in the house when you bring him in, at least thats what my puppy will do.

Ever since I brought Rupert home, when we go outside for potty breaks, I've always said "Go Potty", now at 5 months he basically pottys on comand. So if it's raining we run outside real quick, I say "Go Potty", he goes and we're back in the house within 2 minutes.

Max doesn't like to go out to pee in the rain, either.  He just holds it until he's ready to explode, then he will dash outside (he has a doggy door) to do his business and he gets back in as soon as he can. Then, I get the pathetic look. [:D]

With a puppy that your trying to house train you need to just pick him up and go outside and put him in the grass and wait there with him.  Get an umbrealla or do like me and just stand there and get wet, lol.
