    keeping pup from gng somewhere

basically the problem is that we live in an open plan house and our puppy seems to be getting the hang of doing outside.. howveer there are a couple of rooms whcih are 'out of bounce' but I am not sure waht the best way is to keep him off them

shouting No and running after him is definately not a good choice so I was thinking of some kind of barrier - are there any ready to buy or do i have to make a DIY one?

    cheers

Many of the catalogs have the really LONG gates, but wow, are they ever pricey.  You can go to the hardware store (Lowes, Home Depot) and pick up lattice, and the plastic resin kind is gonna last longer.  This stuff is 4'X8' so if you need to you can get the connecting pieces to hook them together....glue them with PVC glue....The one I made is trimmed with the edging they sell and is over 10 years old.  It cuts really easily with a hand saw, although I like using a power jig saw.

Those long gates are very expensive.  I like Glenda's solutions, but I must be cheaper and lazier, cause I found what I think has gotta be the cheapest solution on earth.

At Staples they sell these thick paper boards that would be used for presentation boards.  I think there are 3 to a package.  I bought about eight of them and duct taped them in a row.  They are flexible where the duct tape is, so can be bent into all kinds of arrangements.  Then, I duct tape them to the walls on either side of the opening I'm closing off. Cheap and ugly, but very functional.

Certainly not as attractive as Glenda's solutions, but for those of us who work only in duct tape, it's a cinch.
