    Housebreaking

I have a puggle (beagle and pug mix) and I am trying to housebreak him, whenever I take him outside to go to the bathroom no matter how long I keep him out there right when he comes back in he goes in the house. The only time he goes outside is when I catch him going in the house. How can I get him to go outside?

wait until he pees outside and then give him a very very exciting treat.

He wont go outside no matter how long I stay out

    Yes, I read that.

Alas, he doesn't understand English, so the only reliable way to communicate to him that he needs to go outside is to make sure he goes outside and make that outside experience super worth his while.

He will go eventually, you have to make sure it's outside and make sure he doesn't get any practice inside. That's the essence of housetraining. No real tricks or shortcuts...

There are lots of ways to accomplish this: confine him in a crate when he's full or potentially full; take him out every fifteeen minutes or so when you think he's full; figure out when he is likely to go.

Here's a great free booklet you can download that goes over this in detail:
