    Help me house train

Hi, we have a three year old beagle who is completely house trained and otherwise. We just got a 8 week old puppy, well she's going to be 3 months on the 11th. We are having problems getting the house training done. We are away all day so yes it is very hard to do effectively... although we are home every night and all weekend. I have read that people crate train, but i can't leave her in there all day can I? i hated leaving my other dog in there all day, but we got him at 10 months and he enjoyed being in there all day.
Should i be crating them seperately during the day, or just her and let him be in another part of the house? I put pee pads down during the day, which most times she does hit, but he have them in a very small part of the kitchen. i don't expect her not to mess during the day, but i figured at night she would run to the door and do the same as the other dog.... help what i am/we doing wrong? any suggestions would make life so much better!!!

Personally, I'd crate them both.  My dogs never have free run of the house unless I'm home.  If I'm home at night, they are allowed to sleep free, otherwise they're crated.

If you have the resources I would suggest hiring a dog walker to let thet pups out during the day, or at least the little one, so she can potty outside.

You think i should crate them both all day though, isn't that to long. We don't have the ability toget home days and no one to let her out.....

IMO, it's only too long if you let yourself think it's too long.  Sometimes my schedule dictates that my dog be his kennel up to 10 hours, and there's nothing I can do about that.  Dogs are not humans, and they really don't mind being in their kennel all day...heck, they sleep most of the day
