    need help for little jose

    HI!Im new at the forum and i would like some help from anyone.I just got my puppy!!![:)]He is a rhodesian ridgeback,named ''jose'' he is 3 months old and i am willing to hear any suggestions for his basic training.I am waiting for your help.

    Hi! Welcome.  My first suggestion would be to read through some of the posts from the last few weeks - it helped a lot whenI joined a few weeks ago.  Second, it is much easier to get a response to more specific questions - ie, how do I train jose to do _____?  than just ask for general suggestions, as people won't have the space here to tell you everything they know!!  That is, for "basic training" do you mean housetraining, or how to sit and stay, or .... ? 
     
    Again, good to have you with us, as always post pictures of your doggie and I'll try to help if you have more specific questions [:)]

    Ridgies need a good recall - get this DVD: "Really Reliable Recall" by Leslie Nelson.  It will help you get a great "come when called".
    Also, try to find a positive reinforcement trainer and take puppy class asap.

    Omg Rhodesian Ridgebacks are one of my dream dogs. Love them very much.
    Those dogs are real strong. I once read in a 1960' magazine that Rhodesian Ridgebacks go lion hunting with theyre masters in packs.This was in Rhodesian the modern Zimbabwe.  Theyre so strong they can take out a lion if in groups.
