    Lonesome puppy

Today when I went home during my lunch break I noticed that my puppy seems to be really lonely when nobody is home to play with him.I know he has been playing with his toys because they were all over the place instead of where we left them.  If any body has any Ideas of how to keep our puppy intertained while we are away that would be great.  Ohyea we do not keep our pup in his kennel while we are away we leave him in the laundry room and kitchen with the rest of the house blocked off by shuting the doors so he can't get into anything not ment for him.
Thank in advance for all the help.

A kong stuffed with canned dog food will keep him entertained for a little while.  Maybe you could adopt a buddy for him [sm=devil.gif] (thats one of the arguments I used on my DH to get a second dog, LOL!).

I like the idea of a second puppy but I don't think the wife and I are ready for that yet.

Sorry I have no good advice, except to get another pup! I have three, so if one goes with they still have a playmate.

Maybe not a puppy- two puppies would be hard- maybe adopt a nice adult dog...

How does your dog act that makes you think he's lonely?

[:)] They make KONG dispensers...they dispense a filled KONG throughout the day. Kinda spendy though...

Try a Kong that has been filled with a mixture of peanut butter and kibble. I put it in a grocery bag and pop it in the freezer. The plastic bag saves my freezer from peanut butter slime. When I am going out he gets the "Pupsicle", minus the plastic bag of course.
We know call the freezer the "magic door" because Tyler the wonder pup talks and prances about when I get one out for him to work on! If only my husband acted that happy when I pull something out to cook for supper[:D

if you keep your puppy occupied when you are home.. lots of attention, training, exercise, and especially in the morning before you leave... he should sleep most of the day anyway.
