White Visors

I think you could desensitize him to this quirky fear by buying some white visors - wear one yourself while feeding him treats - have friends wear it while giving him treats - you get the idea. People wearing white visors = friendly treat dispensers.   I desensitize my dog to his quirky fears with a clicker. Right now we're working on not being afraid of a remote control car. [] At first he got a click/treat just for going near it, then for touching it, now we're up to moving it with his snout. She barks (actually goes berserko) at people wearing any hat except  baseball caps- a problem here in terminally sunny California!  She also barks at people carrying umbrellas, people with wheelchairs or walkers or crutches, people with Afros (don't ask), people who speak to her in different languages (don't ask me how she knows!), people with large sunglasses, and people with hair that covers their eyes.  I should be so lucky to have her narrow it down to a white visor!!   Good luck helping Marley get over his visor issues!  I know what a pain (and how sometimes embarrassing) it is when your dog barks at passers-by.   0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
