Hello everyone, iam new to this board, and i am soo happy i found it, in hopes that someone can help me figure out why my chihuahua acts the way he does, Well first off his name is Sosa, he is about 3 yrs old now. Wow, where do i begin? I know chi's are a naturally sometimes crazy type of breed, but i think mine is "special" in his own way. The main problem with Sosa is his behavior when taking him out for walks. I live in an apartment complex where there seems to be a plethora of dogs, and everytime Sosa sees one he immediatley starts his aggressive charging, barking, squeeling and just all out losing it type of behavior. He goes crazy and i really mean it!CRAZY!!!! It does not matter the size of the dog or anything he will try to charge over towards the dog, people look at me as if he is possessed and its starting to get embarassing. Any other time is usually in chill mode, but when i take him outside the worst comes out of him, he doesnt listen, he tries to lead me while he is on the leash and he just doesnt listen to ANYTHING!!!! Its like hes in his own little world. Talk about a napoleon complex! I dont think he wants to attack the other dogs, i guess hes just not used to seeing them but when he does see one its all out bananas!!! no joke. And also he barks (non stop) when he is left alone, and he also scares the hell out of visitors upon entering the house.
