Handling around the face, ears, and feet.

He is doing just okay with having his feet handled. The trainer said to practice massaging and checking his legs and inbetween his paws. He sometimes lets me but sometimes will lick my hand or start mouthing. I give him treats when he allows me to check him without interference.  He REALLY DOES NOT like having his face touched. I can pet him under the chest and under the chin, but if I try to pet him or touch him around the face, he gets very mouthy and mad.  Suggestions, please.
