Why do they zoom after baths?

Kenny and Abe both do it too! Kenny will just run back and forth on the 2nd story of our house. Abe just goes crazy and rubs himself on everything.

Our dog did zoomies too, sometimes after baths and sometimes just because he wanted to. I figured his bath zoomies were an attempt to dry himself off... he never really liked getting wet.

Griffinej5- our dog did them, even though he was medium-sized, only about 25 pounds, give or take, most of his of life. It's not something that only big dogs do.

Yep all of mine did/do it too. And sometimes they get away while I'm bathing them and zoom around with shampoo all over them.   I give my baths outside by my garage with warm water connected from my laundry room...so they can zoom pretty good.

Bad thing about zoomies is that Bubblegum and Gibby like to zoom after they eat.... thats a big no no for a Dane.

I can't think of a dog I've owned that didn't get the post bath zoomies.  I think it's a combination of feeling great after a full body massage Big Smile combined with the joy of being released after standing still for the bath.  I always think of this song whenever I see a dog with the zoomies. LOL
