Chasing

• Chasing Patrick Chandler Posted : 3/7/2007 12:09:05 PM I have a 1 year old cocker who loves to chase squirrels, birds, and our ornry old cat.  I have been taking obedience classes for several weeks, so he is learning the basic commands, but we havent learned "leave it" and its not on the agenda.  I guess that leave it would work for the cat, but squirrels and birds he chases when he is in the yard , and we aren't always right with him.  I know he was bred to hunt, but I am worried that he wont be able to seperate which animals he can chase, so I want to curb this if I can.  Also is there a post that describes training the "leave it" command?
