Do your dogs act differently, different places they go?

Do your dogs act differently, different places they go?

Greta is by far the most well behaved dog we have. Not that the others are not well behaved, but Greta has this regal attitude and is so laid back and quiet.....and is this way no matter where we go EXCEPT the MIL's house. For some reason whenever we take her to MIL's she turns into this gittery, whinny, running you over, crazy dog, plowing through people, whacking everyone with her tail, pacing and refusing to sit still. I don't know why. It's like she's her normal self, walking to the door, walk through the door and she's a completely different dog.  And of course, since MIL never comes to our house, she doesn't see the calm, super cool Greta and so when I say she doesn't normally act like this, she doesn't believe me.

My guys are, generally, better behaved in public than they are at home.  If we go to a friend or family members, they know to stay with me unless instructed to do otherwise.

Bean is more reserved, in public, than she is at home, but very well behaved, anywhere. Jewel is similar, but would like to mark in public. She has learned, now, to wait for an appropriate object (a tree!). Fluffy is a heathen in public. I have no plans of fixing that. I just leave her home, LOL

The only one that acts different is Rueben. He is so calm when we go to town or class. My neighbor who goes to classes with her pup ask what I drug him with because she knows how wild he is at home! I dont give him anything.

The others are behaved at home and out in public.

Mine are pretty much the same where ever we go. However, I do have a set routine for abbie when we go new places. That's because she's an anxious dog and having her go through a set routine gives her familiarity which takes her anxiety down a notch.

Sadie is generally much better behaved in public. She suddenly becomes this perfect angel dog. At home she is a little (entitled) princess!

Timmy is generally the same in public. He is just always a happy go lucky inquisitive boy.
