    We're going for it

Some how I got talked into taking the therapy dog test early with Maze.. Early as in next month early. LOL I've been working hard to get her ready and while I feel she is ready, I wasn't planning on taking the test until the spring. Now we do still have some leash issues, and I'm not going to fool myself and say there's no way she'll fail. But the way I see it, the entire process is a training opportunity.

After discussing some key area's with the tester, I agreed to follow through with the test. There's no food allowed BUT I can have a tuggie stuffed in my back pocket so I can reward her.

Go for it!  Dogs usually surprise us for better or worse, so she may be fine, or if she fails, it will give you a better picture of what needs work before spring.

Lies, that's exactly my thinking. LOL

Good luck. Like the others have said, if you pass, excellent. If you don't pass, you know what to practice before you try again.

Good luck!  Bella passed her test back in February even though I really don't plan on doing anything with it.  We took the test on a whim, just to see how she would do.  If it wasn't for the occassional piddling when excited, I'd be taking her to nursing homes on the week-end.

Amber, I think you and Maze will do well.  Good luck!

It's Roger's fault I'm doing the test. LOL. And I plan on training my pup for this as well if he's the right temperment.
