I forgot to say that I LOVE the reflective stripes on the harness, since our morning walk is in the dark :)

I don't remember Emma's having the reflective stripes. I bought it a few years ago, and LOVED it, for her. It didn't fit Jewel, right (silly IG with the roachy topline!), so I gave it away.

The only downside I can think of is how thick the metal thing is for clipping leashes on, but I have Lupine leashes and they push in to clip...so I guess that's the leashes con.

Nice picture, they both look great in their harnesses.

I love Bailey's ruffwear webmaster harness (I wanted the black one, but I got the red instead for better visibility) When fitted snug it doesn't slide around like regular style harnesses do, and it's nice for attaching a longline to because it helps keep it from getting tangled under his legs.

And I'd like to say that the sizing is difficult but I think it is more that Bugsy's physique is a challenge, we have the large because that is the size that fits his chest but it is too long in body and both the neck opening and the second strap are too large.  In fact the second strap is ginormous on him, but we still love the harness and use it for a variety of things.

We have the older version of the Approach backpack which is at its core a webmaster and I bought that in medium and had a tailor add length to the chest strap.  That would be a better fit but it actually isn't wide enough across the top so the saddle bags ride a bit high.  Ah well it works.  Its not their fault he's got an odd build LOL

I don't think it's just Bugsy, I thought the sizing was a bit off too.

I forgot to put this in my previous post- Bailey's harness is the medium size. His girth is about 31". The small size harness is for girths 21"-30".... I didn't want to get the smaller one and have to keep the girth strap really tight on his girth for it to fit, so I went for the medium. The girth on the medium fits good, but the second "waist" strap, is WAY to big. I have it tightened as tight as it will go, and it still isn't quite as snug as I would like.

Also, the only other complaint I have about them is... the straps loosen really easily. Sometimes I have to tighten them multiple times when he wears it because they loosen so quickly. I mentioned it to them & they said they were working on it, maybe they will come out with a new buckle design for the harness (similar to the doubleback harness maybe?) I was thinking about just cut the straps to make them fit better, but I don't want to destroy the harness in the process... so I probably won't.

I'm not sure that it's just Bugsy's build that causes problems with the harness.  Bevo has to have a large to fit his chest.  The legnth is perfect for him, but the back strap is WAY too long.  I have to roll it, & use safety pins to secure it, so that it doesn't flap around, or drag the ground.

I still love the harness even with that issue.

 Chelsea I know you are great with crafting etc so you may be able to alter the straps without compromising the quality.  I gave the tailor a length of leash to insert into the medium backpack front strap and it is superb and I have never worried about the safety.

I have a hard time fitting anything to Bugsy - his chest is 41" with no give, but he isn't very long in body and his neck isn't very large, with a high tuck.

None of his Ruffwear stuff fits very well but it fits better than most.

With leather, yes. Not so much with sewing nylon/fabric, though.

The thing is, His girth is right about 31" (maybe 30"ish, if I have it really snug. His chest does have a bit of "give" to it), but the measruement around his waist (right where that 2nd strap is) is 21.5". The 2nd strap would fit (it would be really long, but it would fit,) if I took the pad off the strap. I can't tighten it as far as it needs to be for him, because it is tightened as far as it can go with the pad on it. I don't want to take the pad off, because I think it would really rub a raw spot on his belly.
The 2nd strap is so long, I have it passed thru the slot on the strap pad, and then thru the little elastic strap holder on the other side, and there is STILL a loose end. `

I have been toying with the idea of making a leather harness with a similar design to the webmaster harness. Not exactly the same (so it wouldn't look like I was just stealing their design, lol) but similar, with a 2nd strap. It's reeeeally tempting... I have a ton of ideas for the design. But so far I have resisted, because Bailey has enough harnesses that he doesn't even wear

LMAO, it fit Emma like it was MADE for her. She was a bit of a barrel-dog. It didn't fit Jewel AT ALL, with her huge chest and tee tiny waist, and Bean doesn't "do" nylon.

Willow has two black older models-no reflective stripes.  And, I also had to send it back a couple of times until I got the size right.  Well, worth it though.  It's a great harness.  And, when she went for her orthopedic consult the Dr was really happy to see I was using one.  He said he suggests them all the time.
