Combination Leather Collar

Apollo's 3/4" Combination Rolled Leather Collar came in today and I *LOVE* it!
It's much thicker than it looks; the leather is thick and solid, the brass is very bold; it's heavy duty. And it's not a rolled collar, but the edges are rounded off (I think that's what she meant by "rolled";), IDK, but I really do love it. Paula Hogan (Hogan Leather) does amazing, quality work, and the shipping was fast!

I have no doubt this collar will last many, many years.

Gorgeous! I never would have known from the website that it wasn't rolled leather.

No, it's not rolled, I thought it would be you can't tell from her pics it isn't. The edges are rounded though, hard to describe, I need to get a better pic because in that pic that I posted the edges look frayed which they're not at all. Let me see if my Mom will loan me her Nikon (really nice camera) and I'll post pics tonight to show you what I mean.

No, it's not rolled, I thought it would be you can't tell from her pics it isn't. "Rounding" the egdes of the leather is pretty much a standard practice in leathercraft... So I'm not getting why they would be calling THIS collar "rounded" vs all of their other collars? Unless they don't do that the rest of their collars (Which I find very strange if they DONT, because that would leave the collars looking dull...) It's hard to tell from the pictures on their website.

I *love* Hogan Leather leads and collars. I have a Padded Buckle Collar from her, and it's gorgeous. (As a matter of fact, Mayday has one, too, and it's her every day collar.) Come to think of it, each of my close training pals has a Hogan lead in their collection, too. Paula used to train one of her dogs with my trainer here in NH.

The pic of the collar on the website is sort of deceptive. It looks like a rolled collar but from the description and Steph's picture it's not what I would call a rolled collar. It's still very nice and looks great! :)
