Guess I should be happy, right?

Hey guys, so my sister's friend from England came over last night. She'll be staying here for two weeks and of course Simba was down there to greet her. He really didn't seem at all fazed by the fact that there was someone in the house he had never met. I'm not sure if it was just because it was late or not but I was expecting extreme wiggle butt and trying to get her to play. He gave his wiggle butt to my sister, dad and I but just gave her a casual sniff on the leg and a little wag. I suppose this is a good thing right? She gave him a little pet but he was more interested in seeing me.

If he were a German Shepherd dog that would be absolutely correct.  I like my dogs to be completely neutral to strangers, accepting and social to anyone who is obviously not a threat, but also aloof in that they will wag their tail and take a pet but stick to me and focus on me.  I'm so used to this temperament, when I take Nikon to work people often comment on how focused he is on me.  When other people's dogs come to visit they will run around the office soliciting everyone but Nikon will lie there chewing on his ball, completely indifferent.

I agree...GSDs should be standoffish as a rule.  So....yeah, you should be happy.
