You think its bad with the puppy???  Just wait to you start with the CHILD!!

Honest, I'd take multiple litters at once over ONE human child.  Holy frustration!  And my boys were GOOD.  But, some of my foster kids, not so much.

OH NO!! Don't scare me!!! Surprise You're supposed to say that potty training is MUCH easier than house training!! Or is it that I just need more chocolate??? LOL!

    Definately chocolate!

My boys were relatively easy.  My oldest resisted for the longest time, but grandma was upset that I would have TWO in diapers at the same time (my boys are 19 month apart).  I started hiding the potty chair when she came.  When HE was ready, he was ready and practically trained himself.  And my youngest learned from his big brother.

My step son was a nightmare, but again, a different grandma, and this one thot it was too much work to take a change of clothes when she took him out and just slapped him in diapers.  So, one step forward, THREE steps back.  And the fosters, I guess understandable since their lives had been turned upside down......

Still in all, puppies are sooooo easy.  You don't have to plead, cajole, appeal to their ego....just "OUTSIDE and go POTTY", or "opps....we do potty OUTSIDE" and no worries about damaging their delicate phycees! (sp)

I would definitely go for house-training a pup over potty-training a human child. I don't have kids but boy, have I heard stories! Probably why I have two dogs and no kids. Big Smile

If it's any encouragement, we had a terrible thunderstorm and tornado warnings last night. One touched down about 5 miles from here. I put a puppy pad in Grace's pen in case she needed to potty (no way could we have possibly gone outside - we were in the basement for about an hour with the tornado sirens alone!)... ANYWAY, the little rock star held it the whole time and didn't even use the pad. We finally got to go out at 3 am and she calmly did her business, got a treat and some love, and went right back to sleep. So, progress has definitely been made, and she proved it to me when it really counted! Amazing Grace!
