what's your favorite 'go to' leash

    and why?

What about it makes it your favorite?? Is it just a regular leash, or is it one of those 'euro' ones with extra d's and snaps??

does it have a design, or a certain color you love?? How long is it??

I've found my tastes keep changing, First I loves a particular leash and now I've just been using a plain old nylon one - just cuz it's a 4' and I can keep Zoey close to me.

I do have a long line I love because it has reflective material in it. I want to get something like that for our regular walks, I'm always drawn to anything reflective or glow in the dark LOL

Definitely my 4-ft leather leash. It's just the right length for handling my guys, without too much bulk left in my hands. It's super-comfy and super-light, and easy on the hands to hold. Plus, I do just love the look of them.

ya I found that one I used to love a lot I don't use as much, just because it is heavier, I never though the weight of a leash would make a difference. Even my reflective long line is lighter than my old leash!!

My go to leash is my flexi, of all things. Its much easier for potty breaks in an apartment. For real walks, I use my 4 ft leather leash in red. Which matches her red leather collar. I'm the only one who knows they're matching though, shes way to fuzzy for anyone to notice.

I use my beautiful, beaded slip leads (from Pet Fabulous) at LEAST 3 times a week. I love them! Otherwise, they're in 3-6' leather, or super thin rolled nylon. Everything is super thin and light. I hate heavy leads.

My go to leash is a 60" service dog lead made out of burgundy latigo leather - no stitching, all braided around the rings and fixtures. One of mine is almost 10 years old and oh so soft in my hands - I got it while interning at Guide Dogs for the Blind in high school s it has fabulous memories attached, too.  I have 2 new ones from GDB that I got this summer so that all 3 dogs can have one.

I also love my 3' Ella's Leads for close work and my 6' euro lead (I actually got it in the Czech Republic) for regular walking.

Neikos slip leash is what I use most often. Its always used for sar training and I use it whenever I want to take a dog in a store with me quickly. Otherwise its a leather leash. All my leashes have a clip on both ends so I can hok the leash to stuff if I need - or even 2 dogs at once

My most commonly used leash is my 3/8" ASAT.  It has a smaller (but strong) brass snap and is about 8' long.  It's actually the last 8' of a 33' ASAT tracking line I cut up, so it has no handle.  I have and do use it for walking the dogs around the neighborhood, obedience training, protection training, tracking, show lead, and as a drag line.  The only things I cannot use it for are a full length tracking line (which I don't need yet so it doesn't matter) and for running the blinds in protection (need a longer check line).  However I like the length I cut b/c it works for *everything* else.

I love both my 6', 5/8" leather leash from Hogan Leather (LOOOOOOVE them!), and my 6', 5/8" Biothane leash from AllK-9. I think the Biothane is pulling out ahead of the leather because I don't worry about it getting wet (and Apollo goes swimming usually at least once a day), but I love the way my leather leash looks (braided ends, nice tan color). Both leashes have solid brass hardware.

My good leather leads are my faves - braided at each end, but straight in the middle.  I've had Sioux's lead since she was a puppy and she's almost 10.  I like them because they are light in the hand, easily cleaned with natural non-toxic saddle soap, and they always look professional and neat.

That's my go to leash to- J&J's  5 foot Service Dog Lead.  It was buttery soft from the day it came.

Depends what I am using it for -

Walking would be my 6ft thick leather leash with a solid brass clasp.

Training would be my 4ft thin braided leather leash that also has a solid brass clasp.

I don't trust anything with those die cast chrome clasps.
