    who sniffs who first?

     strange observation here

    Bugsy pre-surgery always sniffed other dogs first (we're talking butts here)

    post-surgery he expects to be sniffed first although if I paid close attention it would likely be about 50-50 

    anything to read into this?

    this is completely unscientific but my best dog-ese guess would be "Well, I *KNOW* I smell weird now ... my poop STILL don't smell right so yeah -- sniff away, but don't think it doesn't mean I don't wanna chance at you too!!"

    It takes months for those chemicals to completely leave the body (stuff like anesthesia etc.) and he probably is resigned to being a bit unusual (and so a source of curiosity)

     I know it is no big deal or anything I just find it so interesting that he literally presents himself for sniffing.  Kind of gives me a chuckle. I would not be surprised if it was related to what you said as despite his insanity he is a very sensitive guy Embarrassed

    You know I almost said that the end of the sentence would be "but HURRY UP will ya -- I wanna sniff and then we gotta ZZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM"
