Hand Commands Vs. Verbal Commands

Now I'm working on getting Walker to open doors. I tied a rope to the door, and give him a treat every time he bites it with the command "bite". I can see that this is going to be a tough one, but I'm willing to try it, and I'm sure walker loves the treats ;)

Well.. just get two poodles and you can forget about the rope. Sam and Luci worked out a way by teaming up together of getting the door between the backyard and our bedroom open. one pushes the bottom and the other jumps up and pushes the catch. Sometimes having bright dogs has its moments.

I have seen a few agility people teach dogs to go either right or left by teaching them to spin right or left. Me i just prefer to use away or here otherwise i forget which is right or left.

LOL just as long as you dont teach them to actually open the knob part, my friend thought it would be neat to have her dog do that, now she has a dog that can open almost  any door, so everything has to stay locked.

sounds like your pup it getting it!!

you should teach him to take out the garbage LOL
