Recall word...

I chose Pipsqueak as her emergency recall word, her name is Pippa.  We are still in the beginning phases of training though...

Daisy's recall command for drive work/obedience is 'here'. Mostly because it's not what everyone at home uses (come).

Well Stormy comes to 'come' 'stormyyyyy' 'here' and a whistle. For short distances I usually use 'here'.

     Piper is a hunting dog-

Come round-you're out too far, work back.

Piper, come here-all the way back.

Front-put your butt down in front of me and look at me (not used much-more for an emergency)

Dinner or food, or hungry-used in the yard at proper time.

My RRR is a whistle.  For our standard recall we use "here!".

I use "now" and I'm really happy that I did.

I have friends who think that it sounds harsh, but it works for us, & there is never any confussion when I call for my dogs.

Same. Even my cat is conditioned to it. Lol! My formal recall is "Here" and my let's go command is "This way!"

I use "come".  I also use a special clapping rhythm at other times to change it up.  My cairn will also respond to a hand signal if he can see me.

I'm a big believer in using hand signals in conjunction with the vocalized commands from the beginning.  They watch our body language more so that listening to our words.

This really helped me with Max, my previous GSD (RIP) who became virtually deaf in his elder years.

For Tootsie, I use "now" and point to my feet. When she hears and sees this she knows mom means business.
