    BluBuff feeders, how's yer doo?

Softee here...anyone else have this issue? Been about a week on solely the BB. Have her on minimum amts of what she needs as she'd gotten a bit porky-ish...4c per day divided into 2 feeds. I'm feeding the fishy one.

I've read that soft poops can be a problem for some on BB, but I've never had that problem with Casey or any pups that were on it. Maybe her system needs more time to adjust?

and if she's getting porky...maybe cut back a bit? Casey only eats a total of 3/4 cups a day. Sometimes not even all of that.

The 4c is cut back LOL. She'd eat 5-6c prior (hence the porky)...this is the minimum of what I can give her and her not be too thin. I am going to try to go to 3 1/2c but honestly...I doubt that'll fly...I don't want her bony or hungry all the time.

She may need more time to adjust.  We switched all our dogs to that from Canidae for a 6 month period because Chaudron could not seem to tolerate the ALS as a pup, so I was willing to try something new.  They all liked the taste well.  My allergy-ear girl, Mattie, did fairly well on it also.  However, by the 4th month, I did notice that coats were SHABBY....Bernie, my black-dog shine-o-meter, was showing dander when we would walk him in harness, and was itchy and just had a poor coat.  Mattie shed out poorly, and Regan was dull.

Within 2 bags (a month) of switching back to Canidae, all coats are fine.  Now that Cau is older he is tolerating the food better.

This is just my personal experience.  Other than coat issues, I liked it.

haha! I have to keep reminding myself that Cleo is a BIG girl! Casey only weighs ~13lbs..... no hungry Cleo's, that's no good!

I'd just give her a bit more time - BB isn't for every dog, but mine does really well on it - as do my fosters

Yup, Apollo's poop is soft....which makes it glorious to clean up (sarcasm) Confused

He eats 4C per day, broken up into 2 meals, and is 100lbs (maybe a little more).

Ya know, Rosco and Lexi's stool was softer on our most recent bag of BB. Not sure what the deal was, but this was their second or third bag, and all of a sudden soft poop. I threw out the rest of the bag (even though I doubt there was anything wrong with it) and now Lexi is eating Pinnacle (which gave Luna gas, but I have a 30 lb. bag to finish), and Rosco and Luna are on Orijen.

They are all staying on these foods for a while so I can evaluate how they do on them.

The boys tried BB and both had normal stools (they ate the fishy one too) Legend, who is loathe to eat like a normal dog anyway, was even more picky with it, though, so when the bag ran out we went to NB, which he's thus far done well on.  Both boys have iron stomachs though, when it comes to dog food, so they're probably horrible examples to go by

My girls are fine with it

Looks like the bag will go about 3 more weeks maybe...bit less. I'll give her that on the 3 1/2c. and see. It seems to be helping along the itchy's to depart BUT she's now blown almost all her coat and also got an oatmeal bath last weekend so not sure it's the food helping.

We'll see what the rest of the bag brings! Thanks folks Smile

On the plus side...she digs the food taste wise...which is important since I have found her to be picky. Nutro and this one are the only one's she will always finish up without a topper.

Well, the puppy I'm keeping is on Blue, and her poops are awful. She has to have enzymes, or she has horrible gas. I'm going to switch her to Innova, which is something I know other Chinese Cresteds do well on.

    Yeah, what gives? PUPPY?!?!

And back on topic - Pirate always had fine poo on BB. Flakey dry skin, LOL, but fine poops.

BB really helped Casey's skin issues. I still give him fish oil when it gets really dry out, or when allergy season is really bad - but I think he'd do just fine without it. He's very soft, I'm always getting compliments from people on how shinny and soft he is (the people that he'll let touch him that is!) I hope things get better for Miss Cleo!!
