Just wanted to point out that just because you've personally never experienced something, doesn't mean it doesn't exisit.  Willow HAS starved at times when she hasn't wanted to eat.  My own husband used to say the same things, "I can't believe her, she's ridiculous, I've never seen a dog like this before in my life. . ."  But, there she is and you can't imagine how completely aggravating it can be at times.

But is that because she didn't want to eat, or didn't want to eat what you gave her?  And in Willow's case, with her tummy, perhaps she knew certain foods would upset her.  Crusher's brother Eclipse has recently quit eating Chicken.  We believe because he has developed an intolerance to it.  I don't chalk that up to being picky.  It totally raised concerns when it first happened too.

She does both, she will stop eating when somethings bothering her or if something has bothered her in the past she'll remember it.  But, she also will stop eating if she's gotten the same thing too many times or if she thinks we've got something better or if it's not arranged in the bowl just so, or the moon and stars aren't aligned. . .

Hahahahaha!  Not sure my friend, but I think Willow is a charm.  I meant to mention in my statement that the exception was if the moon and stars were misaligned!

I did have a cat once that woudn't eat if he could see the bottom of the bowl.  But, well thats a cat....
