"In order to look into this matter further, we will need the following: product information (i.e. best by date and production code), along with a small sample of the food.  Unfortunately, it is very hard to track a production without the correct product information. "

That's usually the only way to get them to look into it further.

Yip I sure did.... but they seem more interested in the bag and code which Iv repeated to them I don't have cause we returned it. And again I keep telling them the location in which is was bought so they can do the research. I find it irritating that they just don't contact the store for those bags or look at the shipment of when they sent foods. I told them when I bought it....

I got this email from NB today... Im glad to see that they did obtain the food. I told her my Scotties IBD is back to normal since I got the other larger size NB duck and Potato.... since the stuff I returned was giving him runny stools....

Glad to see they followed through and did some legwork to get a sample from the store.  That would make me feel a little better.

 So pleased to hear they followed up on it! That restores my faith a bit.

I'll keep the NB P&D in my rotation, because they're not getting tired of it (quite an achievement in our house) and seem to be doing well on it. 

I'm not sure if the OP had solved this problem yet but here is what I know based on personal experience with this brand.

Currently this is the only brand I trust due to Food-Related Allergies and my dog has been doing wonderful on it.

In our house we have bags & cans of each allergy formula: Sweet Potato & Venison, Sweet Potato & Fish, and Potato & Duck. I just bought all three bags today and opened them all up to take a look (because I had remembered this thread). Each kibble color is slightly different with a slightly different smell (as expected since they are different formulas).

I remember seeing the OP take a picture of comparison? It was slightly skewed since one kibble was in an orange bowl which could have enhanced an illusion of the color difference. If there is any way the OP could take another picture of the kibble (on a white plate) and post it I could let you know if the kibble looks like one of my new bags.

Either way best of luck in finding a good kibble choice for your dogs.
