Right now all my girls are on Beneful (ducks and hides from the rocks being thrown). I thought it was a decent food, until I came on here and read some posts.
So its not good, I know this now, and now I need to find something that is good (or atleast better).
Right now I spend about 20-25 dollars on a large bag (about 35#). With 5 dogs I really can't afford to spend more than that per bag. Right now I am feeding 3 different types....low cal for my older/less active dogs.....regular for the 2 middle ones.....and puppy for the puppy (obviously).
All I'm looking for are some suggestions of foods to look at/research. With so many options out there I'm feeling a bit overwelmed.
I know there are posts already saying, basically, that there's no such thing as can't afford premium, and that if you can't buy premium you shouldn't have a dog. For me the price range I gave is ALL I can afford for dog food, and maybe (in your opinion) I shouldn't have the dogs, but I do, I love them, and they're not going anywhere, and I'm doing my best with them. So since those comments are out of the way, I hope no one will feel the need to add them again, they really are not helpful.
