I really don't think anything will come of it, because although he would always tell me that I looked nice whenever I took Sophie in to see him, he will not ask me out. I was thinking of telling him that I wanted to take him out to eat to repay him for all the free advice he has given me over the phone, but I do not have the guts to do it. And he is either too shy or too busy.
Tell him tell him tell him!! ;) If he's telling you that you look nice and calling you at home I think he is definitely interested. I'm sure he loves Sophie too, but come on. lol My husband practically worships the ground I walk on and thinks I'm the absolute best person for him, but he would NOT have asked me out. He thought I was "out of his league", which I think is crazy. But it never even crossed his mind that I would consider going out with him. It's scary to think how close we came to never being together. But I had a good feeling that he liked me so I just came right out and told him that I would be interested in dating him. Then I let him take it from there. I think offering to take your guy friend/vet out to dinner would be perfect. It's casual enough, but still gives him a little hint that you're interested. It really seems like a lot of guys these days are so used to being stomped on by women that they're petrified of being rejected. He may be too shy to make the first move, but he could be one heck of a catch!! I think life is short and you should seize the day. There's always the chance that things might not go well, but you'll never know unless you try.
Oops, almost forgot to answer your question about dichotomous earth. It seems like a really good alternative to chemical pesticides. The one thing I know is that you have to be really careful not to inhale it. Other than that I don't know anyone who's actually used it, so I guess I'm not a big help on that one. You could start a whole new topic about it and I bet you'd get a lot of good input.

I have been thinking of trying Fromm again. The store down my street sells it. I did buy a small bag last yr, they loved it, then I switched to TO. The kibble size is nice and small for toy breeds too, and small puppies. Only thing, I think they have their canned foods made in China, so I would stay away from the canned product. My two Pugs that have been on Ocean Blue have the nicest coats, but both smell like cat urine now!
I think Fromm is awesome. You've probably seen how many kibbles I've switched around between, so for me to be impressed enough to stick with this one food is SOMETHING. lol On another forum someone mentioned just yesterday that their dog smelled like fish from eating Orijen Fish. And not the dog's breath either- it's body was giving off a fishy smell.
