What did your dog(s) have for dinner? What did you have?

Often it's mentioned here that people's dogs eat better, or healthier, than they do. At least at my house that's usually too true.

So what did you have for dinner? What did your dog(s) have?

Tonight the dogs had trout and their all-natural lamb & rice kibble. Boomer is munching on a frozen apple now.

We had fried cheese ravioli, meatballs w/sauce and garlic bread smothered in butter and cheese - now we're munching on Oreos.

Rupert had EP Holistic Fish & Oatmeal kibble. Normally it's the chicken kind but we just bought a new bag today, and the lady at the store gave us a sample bag of the Fish flavor. He really liked it!

I had Papa Murphy's cheese pizza.

Mattie had a fourth of  a rabbit and a sardine this morning, beef and beef tounge for dinner along with an egg and some pureed veggies. My son and I went to Taco Bell after seeing the new Johnny Dep movie (which was pretty good) and I had a bean burrito , he had 8 tacos and a cinnamon crisps. This after he had a jumbo popcorn and a refill, and 3 refills of orange slushie at the movies! He's 13 yrs old and 6 foot tall and built like a string bean.

I ate semin-healthy tonight.  I fried up some chicken gizzards and made cream gravy and mashed potatoes and a very large salad with 1000 isnland dressing, had had ice tea instead of my usual water.  Then I had a dish of butered pecan ice cream

My dogs had chicken gizzards boiled with some chunks of white potato, frozen green peas and some unsalted canned spinach chopped very fine.  It was mixed with about 3/4 cup of Purina Fit and Trim for the girls, the SD k/d for Buck.In just a little while they will be getting Frosty Paws i made for them this afternoon---a 32 oz plain yogurt, 3 bananas, 2 Tablespoons of honey and two of creamy peanut butter, blended (haf at a time) together, put into small containers (about 22 if I remember correct) lids put on and frozen.

Roxie had her Chicken Soup for the Large Breed Puppy's Soul, though that may be changing with their ingredient shake-up.  I'll make that decision when it's time for a new bag.

I made a baked ziti, which turned out well this time.

DH fed the dogs, so they either had jack mackeral or beef homecooked.  I had 1/2 an egg salad sandwich around 4, way too much coffee and not another darned thing.

Roscoe had lamb trim, turkey neck, and "organ blend" ground up and mixed and stuffed in a Kong. Bella had a potion of a chicken carcass ground up and stuffed in a Kong.  Then they each got a marrow bone while we went out for dinner with friends.

I had 6 leaves of hydroponic, organic bibb lettuce, 6 miniscule slivers of peach, and about 1.5 tbsp of organic, walnut-encrusted gruyerre cheese with vanilla vinaigrette. So that was pretty healthy. I would have had more, but it was the only thing on the menu I could really afford. And at the price I paid, I expected more than that as a "salad"   I hate fancy-schmancy restaurants. [:@]

Then I went to church and came home starving.  At that point, I made myself some nachos from leftover chili, cheddar cheese, leftover tortilla chips, and jarred salsa. Still hungry, I ate a handful of cheetos (at least they were "all natural white cheddar" LOL!), a bowl of watermelon, 5 peppermint lifesavers, a handful of wheat thins, and a giant bowl of Breyer's mint chip ice cream, which I shared with the dogs.  (Though we have made a pact to finish all the junk food we have in the house and not buy anymore. And I started shopping at the natural foods store. So we're trying to get better.)
