I would start to phase out the treats with the release command because at this point he's going around looking for things to steal. It's really not a good idea to let him train you.
The running over every time you go to the fridge or pantry and sitting there refusing to move is smart yes, but a controlling, pushy behavior. Honestly I would just make him move because you said so. He'll try even harder at first because the behavior worked in the past, but he'll eventually give it up.
It can definitely cause problems when even a friendly 110 pound dog uses their weight to

ush people around. When I worked at a grooming shop, there was a couple with a large Golden Retriever and Shar Pei. When the people went to get the dogs out of the car, both of them would shove their way out the car door and pull the people on leash. I'm sure the same types of things happened at home also. Well.... that meant that at the grooming shop both dogs would try to muscle their way out of the bathtub and/or off the grooming table. Anyway, my point is that any dog should move out of the way for the alpha (you) and release and item because you said so. Otherwise he's running the house and although it might seem cute, it's not a good thing.
Sorry, to answer your question about the food. A good way to add bulk so that he'll feel "full" is to add unsalted green beans to his food. Most dogs seem to like the way they taste and it's very little calories. If he's on a diet I'd cut out all dog treats entirely. You could try giving him baby carrots (not when he demands them), but I'm not sure if he'll like the way they taste. Never know til you try I guess. Good luck! [
