What soft foods are out there??

Willow is going thru a health issue right now and I'm just trying to get her to eat anything (within reason).  She seems to like soft foods, like the NB dog food rolls.

I'd give her those but they seem to have a little too much organ meat for her.  Is there anything similar that I haven't heard of??

    Thanks!

Actually, the only other soft food I can think of is Moist and Meaty and that is junk!  When I first read your message I immediatly though Natural Balance Rolls.  Maybe try canned food.  Sensible Choice is very easy to digest and it's all breast meat (I think, better double check).  I don't like the smell of canned food on my dogs shaggy face, so I put it in a bone and freeze it.

No idea, except maybe you could make her a meatloaf? This is the only recipe I know of, maybe it could be modified for what she can handle?http://www.maryshouse.us/Recipes.htm

Hope everything's okay, sending lots of get better vibes!!!

ETA: Red Barn and Pet Botanics also have rolls - I haven't been able to find an ingredient list, but maybe one of those has less organ meat?

    Hi:
Today's a bad day for both us, I guess. Can you try the Urban Wolf pre-mix and add your own protein?
It's really the only way I got Dusty's potty normal, but he was still hungry a lot,  (downfall) but it is a soft food that is healthy and you can add your own cooked/raw protein. And you can feed as much as you need for a while. This is a good in between food till you figure out what's going on.  Hope your pal gets better. He's so cute. I have to figure out how to add a picture.

Thanks.  I'll look into the rolls the other companies make.

It's not an IBS issue.  She's on medication because her white blood cell count was low and the medication is making her not want to eat.  But, she has to eat with these pills so at this point I'm grasping at straws.  She doesn't even really want her favorite things right now.  And, she can't have raw because of this problem as well as her other health issues.

Ugh, I feel guilty and I know I'm doing what needs to be done.  [&:]

    I'm sorry, Lori.

Have you tried, or can she tolerate canned cat food?  There's also Wysong canned meat if she'll eat that - it's just meat, no supplements or anything so if she'll eat it, you should probably add some eggshell powder.

    I hope she feels better.

Really, Gail, do you think I should try some cat food??  I'm almost positive she'd eat that.  It's always seemed like she wants what I don't want her to have.

PS---Since I've never had a cat, what should I get??

Way far back a vet told me jokingly that it wasn't a big deal for my pup to get in the cat food...said she might start to meow......later another vet told me that it's too high protein.....try to find a cat food that is comparable in protein to what you are feeding her in dog food and it should be fine.  And hey, whatever it takes, right?

I know, she's got to at least have something with the medication.  even if it's not a real "meal".  UGHHHHH!!

have you tried human baby foods? there are some mostly meat formulas, and they don't contain organs, moms frown on that. Often used to tempt sick cats to eat.
