I'm so sorry for your loss.  I know how special my girl, Portia, is to me; I've had her forever.  May your many happy memories with Pippi bring you much comfort. Christi

Sorry,i know this is an oldish post, I was hoping someone could clarify this situation for me,as i seem to be reading it differently to everyone else.
The way i am reading it is that the cat was seen half paralized and would have obviously been in dire distress, not being able to move his back legs and all,the owners left him there and instead of taking him to the vet went to the dentist instead and while they were there the cat died all alone,is this correct?

I guess I should have added that his appointment was at 7:15 in the morning and our vet doesn't open until 8:00, so we couldn't have taken her in then anyway. Oh, and even tho he is open at 8:00, regular hours are from 9:00 to 7:00.   He does his surgery first thing in the morning.  We left her there as we did not want to move her any more than we had to as we didn't know the extent of her injuries. We were just going to pick her up and move her the one time, when we took her to the vet.   However, I have since been told that it all likelyhood at her age she had a paralizing stroke.
