I wondered about that on TO's site... they keep mentioning the pleasant smell of the oil... is fish oil supposed to smell pleasant?

I hadn't seen that statement on their site and NO...it does NOT smell pleasant by any means!!  It smells like fish oil, but I don't know how to decribe the difference.  It just smells a little more like the difference between fresh fish and previously frozen...do you know what I mean??

I cant imagine fish oil smelling pleasant, nice, or even okay.  When I have to clean fish in my kitchen (due to mosquitoes, or flounder during winter) WHEEE, I have to really spray to get rid of the scent and wash my hands many times and pour lemon juice on them.  mine get the capsuls so i have never smelled them, but i doubt it would smell anything close to pleasant.

I just got the Timberwolf Organics Wild Salmon Oil, too. It does not have a pleasant smell like roses and stuff, but it is not downright stinky either. It does have a "fresh" smell like JJsmom said. Doesn't smell like rotten fish, or stinky fish to me either. I don't even smell it at all when I feed it to my pup. Also, he does not have "fish" breath so far, so I am really happy about that! [;)]

We use the salmon oil from Timberwolf, I order it right from the Timberwolf  web-site, free shipping. My guys love it, lick their bowls clean, they don't have fish breath, I guessed that they would [:D]

i am going to place an order for the TO salmon oil this afternoon. if it werent for shipping prices i may try one of the others.  i'll try to remember and let you know what i think after it comes.

we have been getting grizzly salmon oil from our local feed store, but their prices went up so that it is cheaper to order than buy from them.[:@]

Yes...definately let us know what you think about the timberwolf oil verses others that you have used! I used them primarily because the price is right with the free shipping it is great.  I already order over $100 worth of food every month from them so with the 10% discount on orders over $100 it saves me even more on the oil.  I was going to buy a couple brands locally, but with the tax, they were more expensive and then I have to drive to get it. TO was just the most convienent for me to try.

guys, how long is the T.O. salmon oil good for?
and if I'm supposed to give 1-2 tsp. per 3.5 oz. of food, what size bottle should I get for Ella (she eats 1 lb. 3 oz. per day)? <---That question really only needs answered if there is an expiration date for T.O salmon oil.

    Thanks!
I'd get the Ifex, but their shipping makes it too much.

3 months! The bottle I had received a week or two ago expires on 02.14.07...so that's about 3 months. Just make sure to refrigerate after opening.

The bottle says give 1 teaspoon per 40lbs of weight....hope that helps you....[&:]

Rebecca…the way I calculated it, I will probably go through about 16 oz ($20.99)a month with my 2 (both weigh just under 80 pounds).  I got the 8 oz bottle this time just to try, but will be getting the 16 oz bottle next time and then just order 1 bottle a month with my monthly shipment of kibble.  This is calculated based on feeding it 1 time a day and allowing for at least 1 day a week to NOT give it since they will have sardines or salmon instead.

Not sure if that helps or not! [;)]

I've used Grizzly (ordered from CleanRun) and the next order I tried Iceland Pure.  I don't know that there's any big difference but I really liked the Grizzly bottle better.  I found the Iceland bottle messy, so I put the Iceland oil into the Grizzly bottle.
