I recommend rotating brands, that way your dog is getting the "best of all world's" so to speak. If you rotate meat and nutrition sources (chicken vs. fish) and carb sources (rice vs. potato), you can also perhaps lower the risk of developing allergies later on. I personally go to the local pet food store and buy whatever strikes my fancy, and rotate between Orijen, Innova (EVO if I can afford it that day), Wellness CORE, Canidae Grain-Free, Solid Gold, and Taste of the Wild. Rotating foods is generally healthier, and can help keep your dog from developing a touchy stomach.

 I also recommend buying or ordering some raw bones and allowing him to get used to enjoying them. My dog went a long period of time without experiencing a raw bone, and when he was re-introduced did not know what to do with it. Introducing them to him as a puppy will help that to not happen.
